What is Crowsnest Connect?

Crowsnest Connect is your local guide to events, deals, and businesses in Southern Alberta! We publish a monthly print edition, keep an extensive online calendar, and power the Explore Local app. All designed to help people explore local the South Canadian Rockies, and stay connected with local life. We cover Lethbridge, Fort Macleod, Waterton Lakes National Park, Pincher Creek, and the Crowsnest Pass, and are read and shared beyond.

How do I list my business on the app?

Email hello@crowsnestconnect.ca with your business name, contact info, a brief description, and links. We’ll reply with next steps.

How do I add an event to the calendar?

Send event title, date, time, venue, short description, and a link to hello@crowsnestconnect.ca. On the calendar page, visitors can click ‘Show’ and select a location tag to find nearby events.

How do app listings work?

Explore Local App listings highlight your business with logo, bio, contact links, and optional push notifications or local deals. Request our info package for formats and timing. Or use our online Ad Calculator.

We accept Interac e‑Transfer to creative@colourinfusion.ca (Autodeposit — no password needed). Please include your business name and invoice number in the memo.

Do you offer Health & Wellness features?

Yes. Our May and November issues focus on Health & Wellness. Providers can be featured with an ad which includes a short bio, headshot, and QR code for easy contact. It also includes 4 additional touch points online. Contact us for the current package.

How long should I run an ad?

Match your ad duration to your buying cycle. For quick decisions (restaurants, small retail), run 3+ consecutive months. For longer decisions (services, home projects, wellness plans), plan 6+ months to stay top of mind.

How can I subscribe to the paper edition?

Email creative@colourinfusion.ca with your mailing address and preferred plan (single copy or yearly). Single copies and yearly subscriptions are available; tax applies. If Canada Post is on strike, we’ll arrange a local pickup hold.

Crowsnest Museum & Bricks of Legacy

Built in 1936 as the Coleman High School, these hallways saw decades of chalk dust, scuffed floors, and generations of kids growing up in this busy mining town. From its opening until the final school bell rang in 1963, it was part of every day life for families in the Pass.

When its days as a school ended, the building found a second life. Reopening as a museum in 1985, it transformed into a place that preserves the roots of our community. For decades now, it has carried the spirit of the area, giving a glimpse into the lives of everyone who built this town.

But as the historic building celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, its front facade is showing some serious signs of aging. The museum is inviting you to become a part of it.

Through the “Bricks of Legacy” campaign, the goal is to raise $250,000 to repair this landmark structure. By purchasing a brick for $100 or a window for $1,000, you are adding your name to the building and maintaining the museum for the following generations.

Whether you’ve walked its halls as a student, or have yet to visit as a guest, the museum stands as a physical reminder of the strength of the Pass.
