Business in Focus - Fit2Function
What challenge(s) does your business solve?
I enjoy working with women who are facing obstacles in their training. I love helping them problem-solve and find solutions to incorporate meaningful movement into their lives. I especially enjoy educating newer runners on the benefits of having a regular running program, and why choosing certain runs over others can help develop the fitness they need. My athletes learn how they can show up on race day feeling that they have done their best to get ready.
How did you come up with your business name?
My coaching and training business is centered around enabling women to have more functional movement and fitness. I want women to feel good in their bodies because, through training with me, they can get outside and play. They may be runners, golfers, skiers, or grandmothers who want to engage meaningfully with their grandchildren.
When did you start your business?
I started my business of Personal Training and Coaching five years ago. Having already been a Fitness Leader for 15 years, it was a comfortable transition.
What drove you to start your business?
My desire to support women in connecting to their bodies and finding inner strength through strength training drove me. With a background in hiking guiding, rehabilitation therapy, and massage therapy, it seemed natural to become a personal trainer.
Anything else you’d like people to know about your business?
I work one-on-one with my athletes, offering a very tailored approach to programming. Check out my website for upcoming group information sessions to see if this fits your needs.
