Empowerment through Retreats

I don’t remember the first retreat I went to. I do, however, remember how it made me feel. Being in the company of other like-minded women was like taking a breath.

I felt seen, heard and inspired. I was doing well in life, and unlike what some might expect of someone going to a retreat, I don’t recall struggling at all. I was not stressed out, burned out or even feeling down. What I did know is I needed something different but I was at a loss for what that was.

My first retreat was filled with speakers with ideas, thoughts and peaceful moments that I needed more then I realized. The first retreat was not the last. As I started learning more about what felt light to me, what felt good I started heading in a different direction. The path always opens up and suddenly others appeared who were like minded.

Women have gathered in circles before history was recorded. There is something so powerful yet simplistic about allowing ourselves to be in a space where we can feel connected and safe.

We felt there was the desire from many women to connect but how? It was this thought that prompted Norja and myself to create Circle Wellness Retreat.

We have created a retreat in March that is filled with wise, kind and inspiring speakers. We hand picked some incredible women who are making up the two days that we gather together.

We wanted a retreat that was local to Crowsnest/Elk Valley that would bring women together in a circle. The circle represents that we are all equal and have something to contribute. Whether that is presence or the gift of presenting and sharing ideas. The connection with others who are at the retreat is a part of this. You will meet like-minded women that are open to something new and/or different. We will be running the retreat over two days. We have a larger room and two smaller rooms to cater to the multiple topics and also for those wanting a smaller setting.

Going back to what I remember from my first retreat, how you feel after this event is what has driven our planning. Norja and I welcome you to be curious about how you want to feel after. The greatest gift we would like you to have after is to feel peacefully motivated.

Please visit circlewellness.ca for more information. We look forward to connecting with you in person soon.
