Text Marketing
Have you ever thought about how your phone is almost like an extension of you? For most people, it’s always by their side, and they likely check it countless times a day. That’s why SMS marketing can be such a powerful tool for your businesses. It’s like having a direct line to your customers’ pockets!
SMS marketing (sending texts) is about sending promotional messages or updates directly to your customers’ phones via text messages. People tend to open texts way more than emails. SMS messages have an average open rate of about 98%! That’s huge compared to email open rates, which hovers around 20%.
The key to great SMS marketing is to make sure your messages are relevant and valuable to your clients. Nobody wants to receive hundreds of texts. It is great when you’re running a sale, have a special offer or pop-up shop dates and locations. Those are perfect occassions to send a text. Just make sure your customers have opted in to receive these messages, so they’re not caught off guard.
One of the coolest things about SMS marketing is how immediate it is. Let’s say you own a restaurant and it’s a slow night. You could send out a text offering a discount to anyone who comes in within the next hour. Chances are, you’ll see a spike in customers! It’s a great way to drive instant action.
It’s a versatile tool that can help keep your customers informed and engaged. SMS marketing is a powerful tool, but it’s important to use it wisely. Make sure your messages are clear, concise, and respectful of your customers’ time (so don’t send it at 3AM) and privacy. And always give them the option to opt out.
If you’re not using it yet, it might be time to give it a try.
SimpleTexting is one of my favorite platforms, visit tinyurl.com/simple-texting - you can get a Canadian local number once you pay for one of their plans. You can purchase credits for the year, and if you run out, you can easily top it up.
They also have great customer support available. You can install it on almost any website platform, and if you need help, you know where to find me.
